RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
Layout Designer / Background Painter / Prop Designer
Health Nuts Media, Los Angeles // Healthcare’s leading producer of health-related animation
The US Dept. of Veterans Affairs commissioned 18 episodes of an animated educational health series about accessing veteran services, done entirely in Adobe Animate.
Since this production went straight to animation, my job included shot planning, composition, and layout design for the episodes. I created backgrounds, layouts, and props that could tell a story with minimum shot transitions. This challenged me to create strong visual imagery and plan the episodes in a concise way to meet tight deadlines.
The largest project I managed as TDA was the 2nd grade curriculum of ABC Mouse. With over 200 minutes of animation created in Adobe Animate, I directed a team of 25 artists, while also doing storyboard revisions and animation re-takes as needed for the fast paced turnaround time. I guided my team managing extensive notes, enforcing educational guidelines, using plenty of draw-overs and continuous communication.
Additionally, I was technical art director on “SpongeBob Boating School Blast” ride queue video in Spain. I storyboarded and timed the Mrs. Puff animatic, while also directing the animation and design for the entire queue video.

Creative Capers Entertainment, Altadena // Boutique animation studio with 30 years animation experience
A project I am very proud of I was positioned as lead artist on the “Emoji Blitz” game launch in cooperation with Disney Interactive. We were the vendor team to launch this game, creating the official emoji language for all Disney properties, in partnership with the Walt Disney Company. I oversaw all teams and helped create over 800 fully colored, vector assets for the game and story lines, which culminated into a web series, “As Told By Emoji”.
Another project of note was the 2019 “The Addams Family” 2D featurette for the DVD, created in TVPaint Animation. I served as a technical artist and painter on this hand-drawn, 2D rendition of the ‘Mamushka’ dance.

I storyboarded sequences that would later be built in CG, working out animation, placement, and movement before it was sent to the visual development and animations departments. This work was vital to designing and implementing AR projects and touch screen kiosks for the trade shows we participated in. Clients included Ethicon, Raytheon, and Boeing.

Animax Entertainment, Van Nuys // Animation and interactive production studio producing digital content
I designed characters and props in Adobe Flash for the MTV show “Popzilla”. In addition, I was responsible for checking the character libraries, creating templates, eye charts, and mouth charts for characters.
I also rigged and animated 20 characters for the six-level isometric game in the virtual world Bakugan website, created in Adobe Flash.
